KL Tower - Menera KL

This communication tower is the highest tower in Malaysia.

A View from the Bukit nanis Station
A visit to this is not particularly cheap and it costs you round 40 RM for going to the observation deck and you will be given the free perks such as visiting the small Zoo at the underground and an F1 simulation, though these are not so worthy. To reach the tower is not a great deal, just take the KL Monorail from KL sentral and reach the Bukit Nanis station and from here you have to do a 10 mInute walk. Once you reach the base of the Tower (Yes the tower is constructed on a hill) you will have free shuttle service to take you to the tower.

The real Fun is after you reach the top to the observation deck, here you will be given a hand held TV with head phones and the whole deck is divided into 12 - 13 parts (windows) and each part has its own view of Malaysia. What you see in these parts are explained in the handheld TV and I felt it was really good.

A man in the TV explaining me the views I see
The views you get from here are the best you can get and I took some snaps that are some of the best in my life. You can take your time and there is no time limit.

The Best View I Have seen of the Petronas

This is truly the Birds Eye View

The rain on the other side made it look great
After the photo session, I headed to the snake park underneath the towers and one thing to note in Malaysia is that they have this habit of maintaing a snake/Bird park in all the tourist places ( For tourists to take a snap with the Snake/Bird on their shoulders). I was not so interested in that, but still took a snap.
Earlier, I mentioned that you have a free shuttle service, but while going down please take the path via the Bukit Nanis reserve forest ( Not sure why they call it a forest). It is really a good path with dense tress and it will be a good exercise.

I Read a lot of these travel blogs and almost all of them suggested a cup of cold coffee at the StarBucks ( It is a US Coffee outlet Chain similair to our CCD) outlet down the hill. I tried it and please note down, never do this:). This is not for us, and we will end up spending up a fortune.

Finally the summary, a visit worth every penny and you can enjoy it. For people who want to have a better experienc, you can dine on top of the tower in a revolving restaurant, but it will be around 80 RM.
Dont miss this place.
