Tiruchendur

Known for the famous temple of Lord Murugan, Tiruchendur is located 60 kms from Tirunelveli. This was my   first visit to Tiruchendur.

The temple at Tiruchendur is old and beautiful, the location makes it even more beautiful. If you ever get the chance to visit Tiruchendur, also try the Restaurant "Mani Iyer's" - A vegetarian restaurant with exceedingly good taste. To be honest, Tiruchendur was the first tourist town where food was tasty and sold at a reasonable price.

If you are devotee, also try going in for the morning pooja ( Viswaruba dharisanam ) which takes place at 5 in the morning. strolling along the beach ( disclaimer - on a less crowded day) in a breezy evening was really good for a chat.
