Home Sweet Home

Birds of the same feather flock together and so did I. I stayed in the place where most Indians in KL stay - Brickfields - aptly named as "Little India".

It truly stands upto its name.I can challenge you that you will not get better north Indian food even in India. I was addicted to the ordinary chappathis and Veg/Non Veg curries they make in Mr.Singh,Kashmir Valley (Names of restaurants). These are shops which have both Buffet and Ala Carte. I always prefer Buffet as it is always cheap . A normal menu will be as follows,
Chappathi                 - Each 1 RM
Choice of Veg Curry - Each 2 RM
Choice of Non Veg   - 1.5 RM / piece

Though my initial days went on with the South Indian Menu available all aound Brickfields, I got hold of Mr.Singh very soon.

In Brickfields, I stayed at Palmcourts Condominium - Condominiums have a large number of apartments and a common Swimming pool, gym etc.One of the major advantages of staying here is the strategic location, the easy accesibility to LRT, Bus and Monorail ( Everything can be reached within few minutes). The swimming pool at Palm courts is worth mentioning ( I will never forget it) though the gym is a name sake one. The condominium is self sufficient with two shops catering to the daily needs of people along with a small restaurant and a saloon. The description about palm courts would be incomplete without a mention of the security system made up of the worst mannered set of security personnel and a stupid set of rules. Beleive me, getting Passport or Visa is far more easier tha getting a Resident card in Palm Courts.
